15th of August, Greece celebrates!!!!!!!!!

If your Summer holidays starts on August, another reason to visit Greece is the celebration of Dormition of Virgin Mary .  This day is considered the biggest religious event in Greece after Easter and Christmas for Greek Orthodox Christians.
It's a tradition to return to home villages, to connect with family, visit friends, and immerse themselves in the ancient rituals, culture, and practice of being Greek Orthodox. The villages squares are overcrowded because everywhere there are traditional celebration festivals.
If you want to live this experience, rent a car in Athens and visit Tinos, which is the most famous Church of Panagia Evangelistria. Many people visit these days that church in order to offer their prayers and votive offerings , to entreat a miracle of the Virgin Mary.
Rent a car in Rhodes and visit a small church, but overvisited at the top of a hill since many people during a difficult time of their life ask help from Panagia Ekatontapyliani and go there to thank her. For reaching there, you have to climb almost 340 steps but the view you will see from up there and the peace you are gonna feel inside you, will pay your tiredness.
Rent a car in Heraklion and visit the Monastery of Kalyviani. There you will pray with all the local people and afterwards you can take part in one of many cretan traditional festivals with local dishes, drinks, songs and dances at the surrounded villages.
For the end, we recommend you the Monastery of Panagia Soumela. Rent a car in Thessaloniki and drive at this worldwide famous monastery with many visitors every year, summer and winter .
Give yourself the opportunity  to take a moment to pause and reflect. What better than starting your trip easily without stress for your carhire??
It is an experience you will always remember and an excellent service from www.direct2carrentals.com you will always choose for every next travel you will organize. And.. this is a bet we always win!
